This week we’ll be delving into the world of conspiracy theories. Is the moon landing fake? Are the Illuminati controlling every aspect of our lives? Exactly how much of a threat are our Reptilian overlords? You can find out on Thursday at 6pm in CG01.
These topics and many more will be discussed in an open way, and hopefully not too seriously.
Cavan Trip

We are also taking names for the Cavan trip that was postponed last semester, it will take place on the last weekend of March. The price of the trip is €20, and we hope to have a great time investigating a supposedly haunted hostel. Join us, it’ll be a scream!

This week there will NOT be a workshop. However an alternative event will be happening. The annual Redbrick Christmas Party will be taking place this Thursday at 8pm in Matt Weldon’s (AKA The Slipper).

Also attending will be Art Soc, Engineering Soc, Redbrick, Games Soc, Airsoft, and Strange Things.There’ll also be a visit from Santa, as always with presents for all as well as platters and awesome drink deals!

Also, to everyone who will be attending the Clubs & Socs Ball on Tuesday, enjoy and we’ll see you there. Otherwise, we hope to see as many of you as possible on Thursday night!

Following all this we’ll be having the Humans Vs Zombies end game debriefing, followed by pre-Halloween Ball party in the Nubar. And then on to the Ball!

This Thursday, October 13th, DCU Paranormal Society will be holding an EGM in CG01. The EGM is being held to fill two positions on the Paranormal committee. These positions are:

Safety Officer – This officer ensures that those of us who are alive, stay alive, and the undead among us don’t make a nuisance of themselves, at least not yet. Experience with first aid procedure is desirable.

First Year Rep – The role of the First Year Rep is to represent the interests of first year members of the society, and to assist with the general running of the society.

You are all invited to attend, take part and vote. Both positions are a great way of getting involved with the society. Afterwards, come along to the Gravediggers Pub for a few drinks and a chat.
